Deviation Actions
The big event each year in my travels, and I think this year will be even more interesting. A number of arrangements have been made to meet folk, photo shoots are being set up to do some professional level shoots of costumes, some stock sessions and hopefully a chance to pick up a few good props and costume pieces. Plans are set to get a couple of books signed, and attend a few panels, but mostly to wander, photograph, and yes, be photographed, chat, meet folk face to face that I have been friends with for many years, but never met in the flesh, share stories and generally just a ginormous burst of creative energy swirling around and through a lot of folk that I will be very happy to get to see again, and in some cases for the very first time.
Quite a few artisans and artists are busy helping me get this going, and the commissions are driving them to madness I think.

Elders
So many, that at least try to care about their Elders and Ancestors, still tend to only honor their human ties. You should remember that the Animal and Plant Elders have been here far longer than we have, and they are ones we are destroying and driving to extinction at a planetary rate nothing short of species genocide.
Blindness
One of the greatest truisms of our age. Those who are blind cannot see and yet are aware of so much. Those who choose not to see are aware of only lies.
The Great Lie
Once upon a time there was a story told. It was a lie. History is not what so many have learned, but is a white washed version of events written by those that invaded, and slaughtered, stole, tortured and promoted genocide upon the native peoples. It has happened over and over again, in every land, in every culture and in every decade since man arose from the savanna.
A Thought of the Cosmic
Quoting Wendy Pini, the mother of Elfquest. "The Zen koan says, "if you meet Buddha on the road, kill him." It means that, on the path to enlightenment or liberation (which is the highest goal), even the guru/god, whoever you are devoted to, needs to be removed. My thought: The ever-evolving, creative force behind the universe is there (yes, The Force is with us!). I don't know if it has intelligence as we understand it. I don't think it's a him, her or it. Although it can't be judged by human standards and is indifferent to worship or bribes, I believe it is wholly benevolent. It has a pleasant "hum" that can be sensed if one pays attention. All living, sentient beings throughout the universe, at all times, are in a relationship with it. It makes no distinction - none are elevated higher than others in its perception. Above all, it makes itself known in the form of love - all forms of love. There is no beginning to it and no end to it - or to us."
